Touch of Our Savior's Hand ~ July 17th

Each Friday I try to look back on my week to recall a specific moment in which I saw or felt our Lord's hand in some way. Please feel free to join in and tell us about your God Moment this week. Link using Mr. Linky below. If he is misbehaving, leave your link in the comment box. Don't have a blog, leave your God Moment in the comments.
This week my God moment was one of those "came out of nowhere" instances. One of the gentlemen that attends our 7am Mass each day always has a kind word for me. He's a man around my own Dad's age; mid 70's or so. He really doesn't know me outside of seeing me at Mass and chatting a little afterwards. He always greets you with a great big hug that feels like you are being hugged by God the Father Himself! He always tells me to remember that I am special. Two days ago he added to those words that He wouldn't mind having me for a daughter and that he sees how good I am. I told him I wasn't too sure about that! In which he responded, "I don't care what you did or how bad you may have bben in the past, I just see now." That was it; that one sentence was like a message from God because that is exactly what God tells us in a 100 different ways. "And then come, and accuse me, saith the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if they be red as crimson, they shall be white as wool." (Isaiah 1:18)
I truly don't know what this man sees, but in some way I feel that this was the Father letting me know that He does see a bit of His Son in me. I would much rather people see Jesus in me than me in me. Whatever it is, may it all give glory to God!
OK~ Your turn, and be sure to leave a comment so I know you stopped by.

3 Blessings:

Wow. I so enjoyed your God moment. Very moving. That man is giving you unconditional acceptance and that is just awesome! He has given you a great gift and is also a role model for us to do for others as he has done for you. Beautiful.

Isn't is wonderful when the Lord sends His healing words through the mouths of others? I'm so happy for you. And I agree with that man!
